I am President Obama’s classmate at Columbia University, Class of ’83. I am also one of the most accurate Las Vegas oddsmakers and prognosticators. Accurate enough that I was awarded my own star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. And I smell something rotten in Denmark. Obama has a big skeleton in his closet. It’s his college records. Call it “gut instinct” but my gut is almost always right. Obama has a secret hidden at Columbia- and it’s a bad one that threatens to bring down his presidency. Gut instinct is how I’ve made my living for 29 years since graduating Columbia.

Online ammo sales restriction bill

You read it here first, folks.

We now have democratic sponsored legislation designed to restrict ammunition sales and eliminate online ammo sales.  Also predicted here on the Blog was President Obama's reluctance to pursue this course of action during an election year.  If the wording of this bill fails to garner approval and dies in committee, expect another one with the same basic designs but a different spin to come on the scene shortly thereafter.

A hymn for the ages

The Marine Corps Hymn.  It is the oldest official song in the United States military, and one of the most inspirational tunes ever composed.

The lyrics were based on the accomplishments of the world's finest fighting force over the last 236 years and pay homage to the heroic deeds and terrible hardships endured by Marines since the year 1775.

Every Marine, past and present, knows these words and honors his predecessors when the hymn is sung with pride.  For those of you who haven't served, here are the lyrics and the hymn itself.

How the Colorado theater shooting will affect your 2nd Amendment rights...

In the course of following the knee-jerk reactions by our opportunistic liberal legislators to the Colorado movie theater shooting, one thought has become clear to me:  Ammunition availability, especially through internet sources will be targeted as the next great threat to American security by our heroic senators and representatives.

Why do I feel this way?

Arpaio probe could dwarf Watergate.
America may be facing a constitutional crisis. Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Ariz., has made a startling declaration: President Obama’s birth certificate is fraudulent. If true — and I stress if — then this scandal dwarfs Watergate. In fact, it would be the greatest political scandal in U.S. history.

Colorado movie theater shooting

I awoke this morning, as many of you did, hearing about the shooting at the movie theater in Colorado.  This is truly sad news, and my heart goes out to the families of the victims.

The alleged perpetrator was identified as James Holmes, a former college student.  I don't know what the hell he hoped to accomplish by opening fire into a mass of innocent people, most if not all who had to be strangers to him.

What I do know, and feel embarrassment as an American to see, it that among the hundreds of people in that theater not one of them was man enough to take Holmes down once he started shooting innocent people.  It seems as though my fellow countrymen would rather curl up into a ball and wait for death to arrive, rather than take the action necessary to bring the hostilities to an end.

It was dark in there, for Christ's sake, with hundreds of people surrounding him.....there is no way he could have kept track of all his tangos in a situation like that.  One or two men could have taken him down easily from his blind side with minimal chances of being hurt.  Not taking action in that situation is nothing more than cowardice tempered with selfishness on display.

Even if the action you take results in getting shot, the way I see it, a man has got to die sometime.......you may as well make your death count for something meaningful in this world.  Saving all those people in that theater who died unnecessarily counts as something meaningful in my book.

I don't respect anyone displaying cowardice in the face of the enemy.....there was plenty of that happening yesterday, sad to say.

May God have mercy on us.

Poor life choices.....

I love to see women shooting......there is just something special when a petite little gal is comfortable and confident taking on some 300 pound brute because she knows she can shoot.

We need to get more of our women out there on the range.

Degrees of Preparedness- Level 3

We started off this topic with a discussion of how to prepare for a Level 1 situation followed by what you would need for a Level 2 event.  Today we will talk about preparing for the big daddy, TEOTWAWKI, The End Of The World As We Know It.

This is a good news/bad news scenario.........The bad news is, if a Level 3 event actually happens, our living conditions will revert back to the technology standards of 150 to 200 years ago, and will most likely stay that way for the rest of our lives.

The good news is, that the calamities necessary to cause a Level 3 event are exceedingly rare, and highly unlikely to occur during our lifetimes.  Level 3 prepping will make you and your family as ready as you can be for an event lasting in excess of three months.

The Greatest Rock-n-Roll Band that nobody's ever heard of....

Ladies and gentlemen, let me present to you the greatest rock and roll band that nobody has ever heard of.........The Four Horsemen.

Their 1991 debut album, Nobody Said It Was Easy, is one of my all-time favorites of any band in any genre.

One of their members died of an O.D., and another, lead singer Frank C. Starr, was hit by a car while riding his Harley and later died.  These proved to be events from which the band was never able to recover, and they left us with a short but sweet list of great songs.

Why Obamacare is not going to work well.

This says it all.

But we insist on giving more control to the Feds after they demonstrate that they can bankrupt the richest nation on the planet.  God save us all.
